I remember my father (note: he was born in 1903) would - on rare occasion - call a woman a "broad" or a "dame" and it was always meant in the most uncomplimentary way! So this advert surprises me somewhat.
I live about 40 miles from Lancaster. These ads make me sad because they remind me of all the dilapidated textile mills around here. They're so massive that it costs a fortune to tear them down so these huge blighted buildings are everywhere.
Looks like I have a job to do! There are several mills just within my own zip code that have been closed for years. Some still have "for sale" signs so they haven't technically been abandoned, but they have been sitting for quite awhile. Some people have already documented some of these places. I drive past this one every time I go to my son's school:
