Kaiser Aluminum, 1960s

Each model played off a Hawaiian name - menehune, the local fairy race of the islands, waimea, a major surfing location on Oahu's north shore, and pele, the volcano goddess of Hawaiian mythology.

via svammelsurium:
  • Henry J. Kaiser was the founder of the first of Kaiser Shipyard which built ships for the U.S. Navy. After the war he founded the company Kaiser Steel, Kaiser Motors, and Kaiser Aluminum.  Kaiser-Frazer Corp. / Kaiser Motors cars are well known despite the short life they had, but one of his other companies, Kaiser Aluminum announced in the fifties a series of prospectus in all its cars for possible production, all-aluminum, of course. They were never past this stage.
Sadly, just prototypes.  All three images 1600x1030 each.

Very interesting advert. I like the front of the first car, the back of the second car, and the third was so bizzare van thing, I just would like to see one in real life.

Back when cars and appliances dared to be different.

Is it a swastika on the side of the first car?
