I couldn't help but wonder--is his head shaped like a brandy snifter on purpose?

I was noticing it myself. I think it is deliberate. People typically think of brandy straight up in a snifter, but this is ad is urging you to consider it with mixers as a cocktail, and thus in a high-ball glass. He's still got that snifter on the brain, though.
