Love the Martian Chronicles TV Guide ad. I remember watching that.

I never knew there was a tv show (miniseries? movie?) for The Martian Chronicles.

It was a miniseries on NBC in the late 70s or early 80s. It wasn't really bad, though by today's standards it's a little cheesy. There were a number of well-known (at least at the time) actors in it such as Rock Hudson, Roddy McDowell, and Darren McGavin.

I remember seeing it being shown again on a cable network within the past few years.

Oh YES. I remember being very disappointed by it. It was the kind of TV that gives scifi a bad name. Ray Bradbury wasn't fond of it either - his biography quotes him as saying it was "just boring".
