I loved my Swatch watches. I had a three of them and a ton of those little rubber bands you put on top of them over the face. One of mine sorta looked like the one at 0:25.
I can remember when they sold the fake "swatch-guards" so you could put them on any watch and pretend it was a Swatch haha. Sometimes I think the little bands across the face were more popular than the watches themselves!
But did you wear all three at once? I never really understood why wearing multiple Swatches was a fad. Then again, I only ever owned one, and a boring one at that.
Indeed I did. I have no idea why my parents were willing to buy me three $30 watches except that it was the Eighties.
Swatch got me addicted at the right time. I'm 37 and I still wear a Swatch. I get a new one about once a decade, when the old one dies. $40 now, which is cheaper after inflation than they were in 1986.
I only feel comfortable when I wear a plastic watch with an analog face. I only take it off to change the battery.
