Yes!

Cadillac was the Queen of all the automotive landscape, royalty par excellence, so the royal necklace fits. ;)

My parents used to swap out their cars after three years in the 1960s . I guess they didn't last that long back then. Also, they didn't have Japanese et al competition which drove the quality up.

In those days, the ideal was to get a new car *every* year. Not something most could afford, but something to aspire to. My mom's family did this because they owned a car dealership; when they sold the dealership in the 1970s, part of the sale agreement was providing a new car for each of my grandparents each year.

When Japanese imports started coming in, at first they were of pretty terrible quality and were competing on price. It took a few years for the Japanese to up their game with innovative technology and production methods, bringing their cars up to "just about as crappy as Detroit's" and eventually to "better than Detroit's." US carmakers were crap at innovation, while the Japanese prioritized it.

Modern cars are just light years ahead of 50s cars in terms of reliability and durability (and also safety), there's really no comparison.

I forgot to add; beautiful car! I love the color. Not so crazy about the breasts, though.

whereas they could post it and we don't have a rule against it, i dunno if it would appropriate for a winning ad to be a contestant in another contest....ya know? probably should make that a contest rule....though of course it can be posted, but not as an entry.....
