After eating their pathetic spam meal they went off in search of appropriate clothing. They found a shop that... sold women's clothing and accessories.

"What in the hell are we doing in a women's clothing store and how did we end up in Texas?" said John.

Darryl replied, "We're mythical, remember? We can pretty much go anywhere. Besides, I think I am onto something with this store. Excuse me, ma'am. Is that Peruvian 'people' sweater made of real Peruvian people?"

"Ah, yes, the sweater," replied the Accessory Lady who had a thick Eastern European accent. "I will tell you and how it relates to the Spam worms and to the perfumed woman. But first, my darlings, let me pour you a drink or offer you something to eat. Which do you prefer?"

This installment is very Neil Gaimanesque. That is a sweater that many a hipster would sell his or her grandma for.

Cute sweater. I'd lose that hat, though.

I do, too. Plain sweaters are great, but sometimes it's fun to have some extra pizzazz. :)

:D I can see that. The Q wear red and black outfits with huge black hats when they're acting as judges. She also reminds me of Guinan, another Star Trek: TNG character. She often wore odd hats.

...but I think it might have been the inspiration for Futurama's DOOP uniforms like Zapp Brannigan's.

It very well could be. :D

I never saw an ad for it, but Accessory Lady was a national chain in the early 90s. I used to frequent one in New Jersey, where the clerk had an unerring eye for just the right knock-off of whatever was the jewelry trend of the month. I probably still have some (gigantic) earrings from there.
