Nescafe, 1951

Boiling hot coffee on a hot summer day!  Without any way to hold it or put it down!

AND IT'S NESCAFÉ. D:  PURE Carbohydrates!

And now you know how to pronounce it! :D

Now I know why Nescafe tastes sweet even when you don't add sugar... Instant coffee got real popular after World War II, because returning soldiers had developed a taste for it.

Cant help with putting a hot coffee down while eating.

Homer Laughlin made a cleaver Cup and saucer with a built-in ashtray.

I think it's a cute ad, with the artwork. I like that horse cup!

I really like this ad. The artwork is lovely and shows off the product well. Heck, it even makes me want a cup of coffee and I'm not a big coffee drinker.

Hot coffee on a hot summer day reminds me of a few of my relatives. Even if they were on the sun, they would still drink piping hot coffee. o_O Me, I would overheat.

Wow. Instant coffee served from a coffee pot. Classy!

Maybe, because you don't want your guest to know that you are serving them instant coffee. Though I must admit that I love cold milk with instant coffee powder as a summer drink.

Hm, then your guests have no palate :) I don't mind instant coffee, but it's yet to fool me (though the micro ground stuff is pretty good).

I have no problem with drinking instant coffee.

As long as it's made with milk and chocolate syrup.

I want the mug! (To drink my *real* coffee from.)

I love the artwork in the ad. But coffee on a hot summer day does not sound appetizing at all. Especially when paired with stuff like burgers and hot dogs.
