Even though some of the old Brahma ads show a star of David, the beer never was and still isn't kosher. However, the main founder the brewery was a jewish swiss named Joseph Villiger =)

No, it's not related. Jean Villiger is the founder of the Villiger Company, and Joseph Villiger is the main founder of Brahma. Even though they have their surnames in common, are swiss, and both companies opened in 1888, it's just pure coincidence =)
Joseph Villiger couldn't have anything to do with the cigars company since he came to Brazil in 1879 and never left =P
