I think I'd go for the Golden Harvest. I like the Russel Wright too.

Yes, the handles on the plate are curious and interesting. I'd go for that one. I still have some odds and ends of melmac plates that my sister gave me in the early 1970s

We had a set when I was a kid that had a white flower with a yellow center (not a daisy) and a few green leaves off to the side of each plate, which were white. The colors were pastel shades, of course. I think my mom still has a couple of saucers from that set.

Oooh...I'm torn. I think I'd end up going for the Prolon Choraleer

That one is an eye catcher, but..what is it supposed to be?

Mallo-Belle looks a lot like the dishes that my parents took all over the place in their camper. I'll have to ask.

Personally, I'd pick Orchid Spray or Cathay.

Isn't Melmac where Alf was from?

I like the Russell Wright.

No, Gordon Schumway. He was only called ALF on Earth.

My thoughts exactly. :)

I think I'd like the Harmony House or the Lifetime...When I was a kid we had a set of them that were yellow gingham checks.

Stetson. Love the blue.

That was also my fave. But I'll take the Mallo-Belle so we don't have to fight over it. :)

Oo...this is not easy. Um, I think I'd go with Sun Petal or Blue Meadow. I'm not a huge flower fan, but those flowers are just artsy-fartsy enough for me to like them.

My parents had some of the Stetson, or perhaps the Mallo-Belle. (Where did they come up with some of these names?) Anyway, it was blue. :-)

oh, THAT'S what Melmac is! My mother in law used to have that and told me how it was the requirement to have if one wanted to get married (back in the day).
And here I was thinking it was merely alf's home planet.
TMYK.

Cathay and the red Durawear together, I think.

They can be the official dinnerware of my Airstream trailer that I don't have.

I can't decide between Prolon Choraleer and Lifetime Cathay!

I'm between the Stetson & Mallo-Belle, myself. Could they be put in the dishwasher or did they have to be washed by hand?

I have a few pieces of my late MIL's Durawear--sauce dishes that we still use sometimes. But if I get to pick, I'll go with Russel Wright.

I like the texture in Ovation and Russell Wright, but the Lucent really grabs me for it's hints of mid-century boomerang.

I actually have an embarrassingly large collection of melmac for someone who doesn't have people over ever. I almost never find any sets with designs on them though. (it's mostly the classic colors like avocado and turquoise) I'd love to find a set like Cathay or Sun Petal (if only it had an avocado background!)

Choosing only one pattern is hard! Alll of them are lovely. I especially like Lifetime Cathay, Lucent Sun Petal, and Brookpark Tropicana. Oh, and Holiday Orchid Spray.
