when my dad was stationed in japan, the armed forces radio networks used to do rebroadcasts of old old radio shows.

amos and andy always got on my nerves. jack benny was REALLY funny. the shadow was OOooo good, so was radio mystery theater. :)

I love listening to old radio shows, there are quite a few shows from back then that seem so unfunny - Amos & Andy, The Bickersons, My Favorite Husband, Fibber McGee & Molly. Jack Benny is great, I also like Our Miss Brooks and The Aldritch Family (sp?). Maybe it's because of the generation gap in humor?

Oh, Jack Benny was hilarious! George Burns and Gracie Allen were good, too.

They rebroadcast old radio shows here locally years ago and my father taped them. He loved The Lone Ranger and we got The Green Hornet, Fibber McGee And Molly, The Shadow, Superman, and a bunch of others.

A lot of these old radio broadcasts are available on the internet. Seriously. Good times! I don't go for depicting stereotypes at all, but the rest of it...they do story lines in 20 minutes.
