I still have my "super spirograph" set, but I lost ONE END PIECE, so it's too devalued to sell on ebay :-(
It was fun but I didn't have the patience for the more intricate designs, or something would slip one gear tooth and ruin it all :-(

I loved Spirograph so much! My favourite toy well into my teens.

I remember these. Saw one in an antique store recently. Sadly I have a bad feeling the one my family had growing up may have fallen victim to my autistic pica issues, as did my Lego firestation set, though I did also use both for their intended purposes at times also.

A hundred-year-old Spirograph? Next to the William Fuld (http://www.williamfuld.com/) Ouija board set?

It was in an antique store---obviously some things carried in most antique stores would better fit the categorization of "vintage collectable" where those terms have legal force.

I loved Spirographs but they were HARD to do well.

I LOVED my Spirograph! (Though I was never patient enough to do it slowly, so I always messed up the design.) I still had a set in my closet till my most recent move, then I finally let it go to Goodwill. Hopefully some kid has been having fun with it.

I had a hand-me-down Spirograph that was originally my aunt's...and it was the best toy ever.

I had a small version of this that came in a cereal box! It was Rice Krispies I think. Who knows it's probably still stuffed in a box somewhere. :)

Spirograph was just as advertised: hours of fun for everyone. The problem was that the pins were easy to lose, and you couldn't just use any pins to hold the big ring on the paper. Has anyone made a computer version of Spirograph? That would be fun.

did you know that there's a direct correlation between the decline of Spirograph and the rise in gang activity?

I. Loved. My. Spirograph. Ohhh.... I think I'm gonna have to dig it out of my parents' attic next time I'm there. Dang it... I want to play with my spirograph NOW. (That sounded dirty.)

On my tenth birthday, I was anxious to get home because I was hoping there'd be a package from Grandma. Alas, the bus was behind a house being moved rather slowly. I also became aware I needed to get to a bathroom. We crept down the road. When wires crossed, guys with poles had to push them up out of the way.

Finally, I made it. Dashed into the house. Package!

"Walt Disney died," Mom said.

I opened the package in the bathroom. It was a Spirograph. I still see a piece from it every now and then.

I had a small, portable Spirograph toy. It was neat to play with, but I wasn't very good at making the different designs.
