There is so much Awesome and WTF going on here, I don't even know where to start! I do love me a good freak show. If you ever get the chance, go see the Jim Rose Sideshow, and Tim the Torture King!
A freak baby show, aka the Pickled Punks, were a part of the fair that used to come to my town when I was a kid. They were rubber dolls floating in colored water but I was terrified to go near them!
When we were teenagers, a friend of mine got scolded by an older woman working a two-headed-baby-in-a -jar gig. We might've had a little buzz on, and a nervous surprised laugh prompted the woman to say scornfully, "Some people would laugh at their own grandmother." Yes, that's right, you're working a very small time parking-lot carny with a two-headed baby on the counter and collecting change for viewings, but we're the ones who don't treat things with suitable solemnity.
