The elusive wink! I always liked wink, but it was impossible to find. Fresca, on the other hand, was always around, and in all the vending machines.

I remember that stuff tasted weird. Heavy, like aloe or something.

Yes. The old fashioned Squirt was the real thing. Sadly, even Squirt doesn't taste right anymore.

I think it had pulp in it. It's been bugging me since I responded. I can't sleep. I toss. I turn.

Tell me it had pulp. LIE if you must, but this furrows my brow heavily.

Yes, the Squirt of my childhood had pulp in it. It was actually made from REAL grapefruits!

Thank you! I used to wonder if there really was a soda with pulp in it or if my childhood memories were just faulty.

My grandparents always had a case of this sitting on the kitchen floor.

and deposits. You could make some real money collecting coke bottles!

Then I started thinking about how many times they must have reused those bottles.

That looks delicious. I wish they still made so I could have some right now.

There's nothing like the taste of sparkling Canada Dry ginger ale. It's light and delicious and I should write ad copy for these people. ;)

The radio version's jingle faded out with "Wink... Wink... Wink..." being repeated. Sounded just like "Oink... Oink..."

I grew up in Buffalo and of course Canada Dry was well known. Once I drover up to Hamilton, Ontario and in a vending machine there was America Dry! I am NOT kidding.
