I remember Western Airlines! "The only way to fly!" (I don't remember them from quite this far back, of course...)

Palm Springs is loaded with resorts for gay men these days, so definitely a great place for a gay second summer!

(And then there's the giant lesbian party held around this time every year around the women's golf tournament...)

Bleah! I hate the summer the first time it comes around. Heat. Bugs. Sunburn. And don't give me "it's a dry heat" garbage. In the desert is just gets a lot hotter so it makes up for lack of humidity. Even if I was gay, I wouldn't want a second summer any year! :P

This reminds me of my personal "endless summer" I experienced a few years ago. I was living in Phoenix and just as the brutal summer was drawing to a close, I went to South Africa for 6 months where summer was just beginning. Just as it was turning autumn again there, I had to return to Arizona. Yuck! Oh, and I was pregnant for a good part of that time, too. YUCK!
