"Hello, Mr. Nugent? This is Zelda Johnson. Kirk is feeling so sick...it's his bursitis. And the car broke down. And our ferret died. So he won't be coming in today."
I remember the glass bottle/tube alka seltzer came in. It must have been easier to stack boxes on the shelves than stand a bunch of glass tubes. It often rolled out of our medicine cabinet.
For those times when you got shit-faced and weren't lucky enough to vomit...for those times when you found yourself in an alley with your pants pulled down and your wallet gone...for those times when the room wasn't just spinning, the wallpaper was moving...
A doctor, an actual doctor, told me to try Alka-Seltzer for migraines one time. He said it would help with the pain and vomiting of a really severe one. I don't know about that, but Alka-Seltzer tastes even worse coming back up than going down.
