i am sorry, that cannot count as a vote, only a 'YES' can count as a vote.....i have to be fair when counting votes and i ONLY count 'yes' as votes which i stated in the contest rules and in the contest reminder about voting.....

Looks intriguing - especially the lemon cream pudding.

Yes! All of that looks good! I wonder how Jello ice cream powder worked. Did you need an ice cream maker? I know not too many people had freezers in 1910 so I'm guessing you would.

It's a beautiful ad. I'd try everything except "Mrs. [somebody's] Jambolaya", because I don't trust the look of it. I'd need to know exactly what's in it. It's too bad you can't buy the ice cream powder any more, because I want to try it. Also, I want the gorgeous molds!

I vote yes for this one.

I love this site. I may never find an add to post but I love the whole idea of vintage adds.

Wonderful!

My grandmother made something like the macaroon velvet jello. Finely crushed almond biscotti (the kind that some in paper wrappers) mixed with scalded milk, dark chocolate, sugar, hazelnut extract and a packet of gelatin, mixed together and chilled in a ring mold. It's called bunet in Piedmontese dialect, and probably pannacotta everywhere else.

But damn, whatever happened to ice cream powder? I wonder if it was some king of powdered milk/sugar/gelatin product you could whip, chill and refrigerate- instead of cranking over rock salt and ice.
