It's a beautiful ad. I'd try everything except "Mrs. [somebody's] Jambolaya", because I don't trust the look of it. I'd need to know exactly what's in it. It's too bad you can't buy the ice cream powder any more, because I want to try it. Also, I want the gorgeous molds!

My grandmother made something like the macaroon velvet jello. Finely crushed almond biscotti (the kind that some in paper wrappers) mixed with scalded milk, dark chocolate, sugar, hazelnut extract and a packet of gelatin, mixed together and chilled in a ring mold. It's called bunet in Piedmontese dialect, and probably pannacotta everywhere else.

But damn, whatever happened to ice cream powder? I wonder if it was some king of powdered milk/sugar/gelatin product you could whip, chill and refrigerate- instead of cranking over rock salt and ice.
