The art is lovely... but that girl is creepy. It looks like she's daintily consuming someone's heart or other internal organs.

Hold on, chocolate Jell-O? As in chocolate gelatin, not pudding? I couldn't imagine how that would be flavor and texture-wise.

I desperately long to know what chocolate Jell-O tasted like.

I guess I could try stirring Hershey's syrup into plain gelatin, but I don't know if that would fully convey it. I do remember seeing chocolate Jell-O as the basis of a faux plum pudding in one of the seasonal recipe booklets.

I'm like, totally underdressed to look at this ad. :)

Ponies!

I look at this ad and boggle a bit at how clean the graphic design is for 1910. Ads from back then tend to be so "busy".

Pretty ad, plus I'd actually eat that Jell-O. Plain "red" Jell-O with big slices of fresh oranges in it: simple is sometimes the very, very best. At least, I think it's oranges and not pineapple. The hole in the middle is too small for pineapple.

The size composition is just weird, either that or that girl is teenie tiny,

Jell-O takes MUCH more than "a minute" to make. Even assuming you're not putting fruit and such in it, you still have to boil water, stir in the Jell-O, add cold water, pour it in dishes or a bowl to set, and then chill it for a couple of hours.

I am going to give them a pass on their exaggeration because in 1910, everything took at least twenty times longer to do than it does today. The preparation of jello might have felt like it only took a minute.

I can picture people figuring that making jello was about as difficult as breathing compared to baking cake.

Anyway!

I love this ad!

I rather like this ad, but I don't want to dilute my vote for "Bird's Crystal Jelly Powder".

I thought the same thing. They were reusing the artwork. Now that I compare that one to this one, she looks like a ghost in the other one.
