What I find interesting is that however popular Jell-o salads were in their day, they are essentially unthinkable today, except ones with just fruit. They just slid right off the collective food consciousness.

It makes me wonder in 40 or 50 years, which of our popular foods of today will get snarked? :-)

My vote is for Buffalo wings.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking of when I posted the comment! Vile things. And future-people won't even know how badly Buffalo wings can stink up a whole room.

YES

"Now, anything you put into salad tastes better in New Jell-O™ Salad Gelatin"

LIES, LIES, LIES.

Merely a typo! It should have said "…tastes better than New Jell-O™ Salad Gelatin."

Just what we needed, 2 more revolting flavors.

YES

For a second I thought they were suggesting you should dump a chicken leg into jello, which is possibly the only thing that could make this worse.

Almost seems like they are. Why else put it there? Why not a plate like slightly off camera to suggest it's a separate dish? Nope, it's right next to the gelatin. Just throw that sucker in there!

I'm pretty sure I see a rabbit's foot suspended in the Jell-o mold.

I...think that those rabbit-foot things are either slices of avocado, or baby wedges of lettuce? Not that either of those make *sense*, mind you?...why am I trying to rationalize this scary thing?!

I don't think it's a pecan. What I'm looking at is the thing towards the left that is just above, and barely touching, something that looks like a piece of watermelon. There's another one down further and towards the right.

I see pieces of tomato or bell pepper but no watermelon....do you mean the green things? They look like lettuce or avocado.

I guess that's another reason not to serve jello salads--no one can tell WTF they're looking at!

Salad Jell-O naturally mutates anything put in it.

It actually looks like a work of art!

I'd try these flavors if I could find them today. They've got to be better with veggies or fish than anything fruity.

Yes.
