Neat, I want to play with one of those record players. I hope they eventually had more than three records for it.

It's a reference to the Etch-a-Sketch, made by Ohio Arts.

But there's still nothing wrong with hatin' on the Ohio Players. ;)

i am SO smacking my son down with the THAT'S WHAT HE SAID because he wont stop with the silliness he keeps going on with.

i tell him "hand me the (X)" and he tells me "you're a(n) (X)" all the time. we're in the out-annoy each other game.

i tell him "i'm older. i'll win." ;)

I lusted for this. I think I was in second grade. I don't know if it came before or after the wish for a record player I could take everywhere. Dreamed about it. Went down to Linders and looked at it, and the tiny little selection of tiny little records (with no clue how short they were).

In sixth grade, I got a Penney's 3" reel tape recorder. Took it everywhere — put it into a portable record player case so I could have the power supply with it.

In tenth grade, I got a cassette recorder. Took it everywhere — put it in a briefcase. Continued moving up through different boom boxes and suburban blasters.

Ten years after that, the first player that was in the Walkman leagues, and it occurred to me that I finally had my record player. When I got a portable CD player, the thought occurred again. After that, it was mp3 players.

Yeah, I got my little record player.

Bastards! They show four sleeves. And five records!. False advertising!

Somebody should put a recording from one of these on YouTube. They should.
