Gay as all get-out!

I never knew Charles Laughton was gay, though.

I never knew he was, either, until I saw a mini-bio on TCM. Surprised me and yet it didn't, y'know?

The second picture looks like he's witih a nun! (Or maybe a man dressed as a nun, would make it more appropo!)

I read in some review that alot of movie posters from the 40s-70s were filled with gay camp. I guess this is one. LOL

I'm seeing some gay in those two women in the bottom pic on the movie poster, myself.

Maybe I just have femslash goggles, as they say in fandom.

Nothing says "Gaie Paris" and romance like nuns! And you are right that this nun really looks like a man in drag.

That nun definitely looks like a dude! Compare "her" hands to the cop's (I'm guessing that's what that is). Not that cross-dressing, or fetish stuff like dressing like a nun, necessarily equals gay, but it does look like those two might be on a role playing date. Or something.

I like that green coat in the TWA ad. Probably have it in a different color, though; that green's a little too bright for a coat to my mind.

Burgess Meredith is looking quite a bit like the Second Doctor (from Doctor Who) in that first advertisement.

My thoughts exactly! I was about to post that the two guys in first poster looked like the 2nd Doctor and Doctor Watson. Wholock!

lol! That was so gay!

They always say is wasn't called 'gay Paris' for nothing! These posters prove it! :)

It's funny how the meaning of words change over the years.
