Silly me, I thought that's what the calendar was for...

Sporty enough to share - the mind boggles...

Are they suggesting underwear as outerwear or something more frivolous? The mind boggles indeed...

I'm not sure the concept of outerware existed back then (except for kids dressing up). I don't know about most people, but I'm not in the habit of sharing my underwear...

At first I thought they meant they look nice enough for "dates" but maybe they really mean you're supposed to loan them to your friends... ick.

(Also I really like underwear that covers my hips but those are kind of ... ugly.)

And we won't mention that more-than-scary bra either...

Rayon Tricot. The LAST thing I'd want down there.

Really? Rayon feels cool to the touch and breathes really well. It's also super soft...

I'm an all-cotton gal, myself.

Expand your undie horizons! Out of my favorite pairs, one pair is wool (http://us.icebreaker.com/Bikini/IBA377,en,pd.html?dwvar_IBA377_color=D25&start=1&cgid=womens-underwear-panties) and the other pair is polyester (http://www.rei.com/product/809295/patagonia-active-boy-shorts-womens)!!

Both are super-comfy. The wool is completely soft and non-itchy and thin and comfy even in super-hot weather. The polyester is breathable and soft and also good in any weather. Both pairs are great for traveling--the polyester pair dries so fast that I can wash them in the sink, roll them up in towels and stand on them, and then put them on. I can bring one or two pairs to go on a trip and have clean undies every day. AWESOME.

Don't get me wrong, I have my share of cotton undies. But I find they're not as comfy or practical and they seem to hold stains more and not hold their shape as well.

Absolutely, cotton is a poor cousin for underwear and they just don't keep their shape. There are some great poly blends that breathe and are very light and cool. Sports underwear is always poly for this very reason...reduces "sweating".

Also it's so *great* that they have different colors. Convenient for when I am too lazy to read the word :p

DILO's "Carbon-dated" panties, unexpectedly, sold well in the scientific community until religious zealots spread rumors that they were unreliable. Sadly, their "Post-dated" panties never really sold well, and the fiasco of their "Stale-dated" panties nearly led to bankruptcy.

Is it wrong that my sinus-infection-addled-brain immediately went "is there an app store for panties?"

Clearly I need more tea. :-/

My mind read "Dildo" the first time...

Who the hell shares underwear anyway...what a bizarre ad.

I'm guessing they meant sharing as in buying for others as a gift. Right? Oh god please tell me I'm right.

Twice in my life I've had day-of-the-week underwear. Once when I was eight or so, and again in my early twenties. The ones I had when I was older, they had little animals on them too and were a bikini cut. They were cheap and fell apart fast, though.

A half remembered quote from When Harry Met Sally

Sally (talking about a jealous ex who gave her a pack of day-of-the-week panties): "He kept asking, 'Where is Sunday? What did you do with Sunday?!'"

Harry: "Where was Sunday?"

Sally: "There was no Sunday!"

Harry: "Why not?"

Sally: "Because of God."

Yes! I was thinking exactly the same thing!

So does that mean that God wants people to wear dirty underwear to church or go commando?

Yes, this version is actually the continued tales of Tristan, after he leaves Darrowby and relocates to the Florida Everglades. He and two locals, brothers who are the "best durn alligator wrestlers in these here parts", (one of which keeps telling him he has a "purty mouth") start a veterinary practice for reptiles. Shenanigans ensue, and in the hilarious Episode 1, Tristan loses an arm and a leg. LITERALLY! A must see series for Herriot fans.

Ha ha! I thought it was hilarious!

For the record, I had a huge crush on Peter Davison, the actor who played Tristan.

Are her breasts badly drawn or is that bra making them look... off? Maybe both.
