Perhaps I don't feel like jumping through hoops to prove myself on a day designated as the Mt Everest of Romance. If I can't treat you well throughout the year, will one day of roses and chocolate make up for it?
my wife and i have done this all ten years of our marriage, plus the years we dated before. she gets flowers on the 15th and i get some candy. roses are easily a quarter the price the next day, and there are always plenty from which to choose.
it just makes good financial sense, you know? and good for your wife that she has common sense about things, too. :)
my valentine's day will be unpacking things at the new house plus waiting for the gas to be turned on and the cable/internet to be installed. oh and the new icebox to be delivered. go us!
I don't get it. Women are supposed to buy chocolate for the guys? I do that for my hubby. I just want to ensure there's a steady supply of chocolate in the house at all times.
