That refrigerator must have seemed like a dream machine when you consider the small iceboxes of the day. People are so spoiled by refrigerators, never thinking of the times when a woman had to go out shopping every day to keep things fresh because she didn't have access to refrigeration or only to those small boxes.

I adore ads like these, even though the refrigerator looks small and cramped. But it beats the hell out of an icebox.

I love the artwork, and I think the headline copy is wonderful. What hostess wouldn't love to be a guest at her own party. Especially with the servant problem.

That's a great ad! I'm guessing early 1930s, due to the style of the woman's gown. Very "Letty Lynton."
