American Airlines, 1954  Introducing the DC-6B.   ALL OF THEM.

Full size at 1442x928 is even better.

D:  I get what they were going for, but YIKES.  Air Traffic Controller's Nightmare.

As a kid, I loved WWII comics. This reminds me about how 'the battle of Britain' era bombing sorties were drawn.

The plane in the ad was delivered to American as N90708 on April 27, 1947. It was named Flagship Massachusetts. It was eventually sold in June 1961 to Aeronaves de Mexico as XA-NOZ. Sold again in 1969. It kept its registration and went to SAESA Servicios Aereos Especiales SA. Withdrawn from use in September 1972 at Mexico City. Broken up sometime after.

Aeronaves de Mexico was renamed AeroMexico in 1971.
