*blinks* Wow. Bizarre doesn't even begin to cover this. The stuff we do in the name of looking good.

Honestly, I might use it for migraines!

I sometimes put a bag of frozen veggies on my head when I have a migraine, and it does help. So I can see this being useful; though I'd prefer a solid ice cap, I think. It would look a ~little less silly.

Me too! Also, if you can find it, BioFreeze (http://www.biofreeze.com/) applied to the temples and the back of the neck works well, too.

That may feel pretty good on your face, especially on a hot day, but it makes you look like an ice cube mutant (probably the Syfy channel's next movie monster).

To defeat ice cube mutant you just hide and wait till summer! He would fit brilliantly into the Savage Chickens gallery of "Useless Mutants"

Looks like something out of Clive Barker's Hellraiser.

Ice ice baby.

Too cold, too cold.

Yeah, I went there.

Other observations:
-Hollywoodians?

-So are they referring to "Hangovers" in the way its currently used? If so, I'm surprised they'd mention anything remotely related to getting drunk in that era. Though it seems like its being used in a different context here.

-I second [livejournal.com profile] polyfrog's query. It does look like Judy Garland.

It's plastic cubes with water in them.

I dunno if you can still buy them on their own, but we had some for a while when I was a kid. They keep your drinks cold without diluting them.

I was just thinking how awesome that would be, plastic cubes filled with water. Wonder why I've never seen them around...

WANT

...also, I would put a different colored drop of food coloring in the individual cubes and make it multi-colored.

I have a gel-filled plastic mask that pretty much does the same thing. I keep it in the fridge for when sinus headaches or migraines come along.

Frozen ice skull caps are now being tested on women during chemotherapy to help them hang onto their hair. Michelle Phan on youtube did a video on it. It appears to be quite successful but is not standard practice yet.
