Found some RCA ads from 1985!

Maybe a stroller or something might be of help here instead?

It might be easier to navigate with less crap left on her basement stairs.

A good idea, till the dog sets it off every three minutes.

The back of the ads had the specs and info about the product, so these probably went out to prospective vendors.

Funny they mention these were made at the Lancaster plant. I seem to recall at the time these were seen as being able to help save the plant from being shut down. Of course, the plant didn't survive the GE/Thomson transaction, though the latter still had offices in the plant when I worked there (at the community college that had taken over most of the offices) in '96. Bosch (via Philips) got the security products (cameras mostly) and a new local company still makes vacuum tubes on the site, which was mostly designed to make picture tubes.

Very tangentially: I was doing some reading of history when I was home for the holidays, one of dad's books said the Lancaster plant was built on land owned by a wealthy local businessman, who had a fondness for record collecting. Supposedly RCA bribed him into selling (in the '40's, mind) by promising to re-print from their archives anything he had missing in his collection.

I definitely agree with your comment on the second one. The light will just let her see what she's about to trip over. How about also storing the dangerous chemicals in a locked cabinet and a little further away from the food and maybe a recycling bin for the bottles?

And if those apples roll out of that basket and onto the stairs, she'll be in big trouble!

WHY is there a bushel of apples on her basement steps???

The motion light is cool until it goes on and you yell at the dog and your boy, and then you remember... they went out an hour ago.... D:

They're either being taken into or out of the root cellar was what I figured.

That staircase looks like something out of a horror movie.
