Man, WWII era ads were vicious! Like, hey, you could be a beautiful and happy girl and the life of the party if you bought this product. Oh, sorry, you CAN'T because we don't actually make right now. Buy war bonds instead.

Also, I just know the woman (a housekeeper?) at 4 p.m. is saying: "Oh, my landies!" Not sure what she's so shocked about. Was it really that scandalous to be sitting around in your underwear at 4 p.m.?

I think that's supposed to be her mom, though I have no idea why she's so surprised there.

She's shocked at the number of shoes her daughter is wearing at one time. At least that's what the wording leads me to believe. How scandalous is THAT?! That's one rebellious and cheeky daughter she's got there.
