Looks like a Rolodex on steroids! I suspect some call centers probably still use them!

I always wondered how big corporations did things before computers. It seems impossible nowadays.

There were analog devices that did a lot of the data-crunching things computers were later used for (& used the same kinds of punch-cards that were later adopted for computers). That's what originally made IBM big.
