House Beautiful 1955

I would love to be gay in that car every day!

I want to go gay for that bright red furniture!

I can't say I think much of the carpet they're actually advertising though.

(ETA: Also it looks like you can drive the car right into the living room. Convenient, but probably not very good for that carpet.)

I'd love to have that car in my garage. ::dreamy sigh::

$11.95/sqyd?! In 1955 dollars?! Holy Toledo! You'd better hope the easy terms are really really easy!

The building itself and the sleek furniture, I love.

The carpeting? Says "airport". Toronto Airport, circa 1980, iirc.

The table lamp is a crime. :(

The world would have to wait another twenty years for wall-to-wall orange shag.

I like the lamp, in a "retro" kind of way. But yeah, the carpet is a real low point in that room.

The lamp elsewhere, maybe, bit in that room no. ;D

Wrong company, but *eh*.

I love that car too, and the red furniture! I like to think that's a glass room, with windows instead of walls-my grandma's neighbor has one of those. I like it; it's neat!

I'm going to have to issue this ad a citation for italics abuse.
Colors that stay gay - the jokes practically write themselves.

I'm gay for that blue sofa, but that carpet reminds me of sweaters made from that multi-colored yarn.

That does seem pretty expensive for carpet.

Furniture, yes. Carpet, no. Unfortunately it's the carpet that's being advertised, and not the furniture (or that car!).

"Colors that stay gay."

"Sorry, purple, you're not allowed to go straight. There's a TeleTubbie 40 years from now who'll need you."
