Slab er slice er chunk a'!

I sing that song a lot, actually. I'm not entirely sure my friends watched the same tv I did, based on their usual reaction.

Timer specials used to weird me out a bit. I liked them, seeing as they would tour the insides of peoples' bodies, but they still weirded me out.

Me too. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

Not going to click! It's taken me 30 years to get rid of that earworm!

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh!

I've been infected with the earworm, and I didn't even click. *sadface*

This commercial/PSA may or may not have influenced my lifelong cheese obsession.

The only thing that really bothers me is encouraging kids to prepare food directly on the counter. Use a plate, kids!

Why? I do this all the time; it's the whole purpose of the granite countertops. But then, I fanatically clean my countertops with Clorox Everyday Bleach cleaner...

Sure, if you do that, that's fine, but I have cats that get on the counters all the time (THEY'RE NOT SUPPOSED TO!) and I guarantee my boys are not going to sanitize the countertop before preparing a snack. I just think using a plate or cutting board is more sanitary.

But then I have one kid who sometimes puts his food directly on the floor! AUGH! Fortunately, he has a really good immune system.

Oh, dear. Oh, dear, me. See, I have two cats, too. And they get on the countertops all the time. In fact, they think helping me prepare food is one of their jobs (!!!) That's why I use the bleach spray all the time.

I've given up worrying about cat germs. I figure it's made my immune system stronger, like your son's. And so far, I haven't coughed up a hairball, so I'm all right there, I guess.

(When making food for company, or to take somewhere, though, it's a different story. The cats get banished to my bedroom (and their mournful wails echo down the hall) and the kitchen is scrubbed like an operating room. *I* don't mind the occasional cat hair, but I'd die of embarrassment if someone else found one.)

I have 9 so you can imagine the cat hair problem is multiplied many fold! Same here. I would be really embarrassed if I served food with cat hair in it. Mostly, I worry about the germs from their little paws, especially when I see them hop right out of the litter box and march straight into the kitchen. :P

This has me craving a big bowl ol' Sugar Smacks. (Yes, I know they haven't been Sugar Smacks for 20 years. Screw progress!)
