If the server slowdown is driving you to drink and making you want to abandon civilization as you know it, I can't say I blame ya! 



I researched my family tree several years ago and discovered that some of my ancestors were Oregon Trail pioneers and (ahem) some of them were women! Heck, there's one there in the picture!

6. Wait until they build a bridge. And invent cars. And wait until there's something on the other side of the river worth going to like an Applebees and a Massage Envy. (Pioneer ancestors roll in grave and hide fleshless skeletal faces in shame.)

I love the intense expression the artist put into her face - fatigue, heat, determination, and comfort from the cool wet cloth at her neck, it's all there.

Of course it could be that *barrel* of Mellow Mash they have stowed under the wagon. ;D
