Uhm sir! Huggy Bear called and he wants his wardrobe back....(and I am hearing really bad electric guitar chords right now)

is it just me or does that coat with the white fur on collar and cuffs look like something my aunt would wear?

interesting ads.....love this!!

That top photo belongs on the old "You knit what?" community - and that's about the tamest of the bunch! I always wondered where you got pimpware like that. Never saw it in the stores I frequented. And my boyfriend likes the third one down, the guy with the Sarek-of-Vulcan hairdo and the dogears collar. :)

Dogears collar... I was thinking they looked like long droopy penis collars. I was thinking: compensate much?

That third one down must be the place where Captain Scarlet shops.

OK, make that first sweater an oatmeal colour, lengthen it a little, then have every guy driving a silver Honda Civic, and you have the entire male contingent of my 1980 Church Fellowship.

*shudder*

Those are some stylin' men.

I admit, for really fancy, dressed up men's fasions, the pimp outfit is one of my favorite for past the 40s or so.

Did that sentence make sense at all?

omgggg!!!!

On the 6th page down....THE PIMP DADDY COAT!!! My grandmother owns a used clothing store and my brother and I found almost that exact coat in her shop. It was so heavy. We left it there. I regret it now. It was epic.

On a side note...we just got these shoes into my work this week. People still buy this stuff.

It was nice of Arrow to let the guys from IT to model the shirts. The idea was so they could tell girls they had done some modeling and maybe one day get laid, but it didn't work.

For real, Belted Sweater Man can keep the sweater but I want that hat!

Steve the IT guy...went on to create Apple Computer!!

That "Men In Belted Sweaters" looks like the cover of some really specific gay porno.. I don't know why, it just does.

Yes

Oh, God, my eyes! My eyes!

Seriously, as someone who was a child during the 70's, and can remember people WEARING this kind of crap, I wonder how we lived through it.

I CAN hold up my head with pride: my dad never owned a leisure suit.

Man, those are some sexy duds! The chick behind the dude with the uber-long collar looks like she wants to use the collar as handles while she... never mind. That's an image I won't be able to erase for a while.

I should show these to my mom and see if she knew anyone who wore this stuff.

I was pretty young but I don't remember anyone actually wearing this kind of thing. I remember seeing it in magazines though. Maybe in big cities where fashion mattered more they did.
