LJ in a way seems to have ground to a halt....i have been busy fighting a virus on my desktop computer....LJ notifications are all wonky and i have hardly gotten any for my posts the last couple days....

ugh....

They were doing some maintenance a day or two ago and it seems like it has run slower since then. I also have problems when I use my LJ login to post comments on Blogger.

i always have had problems using my LJ login to post on blogger...so i just don't even try anymore.....

Since I do not know enough to know about that culture to know whether that would be an appropriate ad, I won't vote on it. It might make perfect sense to the target market.

To answer your question, all I know is that my posts weren't generating much interest, so I gave up. I couldn't compete with some of the more "out there" stuff.

I have to confess that the reason I haven't entered is that I don't understand the contest. I thought the contest was for ads in which you can't tell what is being advertised -- "Huh? You're advertising what?" -- but I've been able to tell what is being advertised from all the entries so far, so I guess I'm missing something, because it appears to be "A whole bunch of random ads, most of which I've already seen in this community."

I'm not sure I understand it either. Most of the ones I have been posting are ones where I had to dig deeper to figure out what exactly they were selling like one I posted looked to me like it was for rose-flavored margarine, but they aren't doing very well.

Also, I decided to post an ad anyway just to get things moving again. Probably won't get any votes because it's not freaky enough, but it has been a slow day.

I have not had any emails about comments this week, which is pretty atypical. I'm guessing either some comments or notifications aren't going through. I wanted to say I liked your ads; I thought I'd said so, but right now, who knows? Could you reply to this so I can see if it's LJ or me?

well the theme is open to interpretation.....i take it be more of 'what in the world?' kind of ads....like they're using weird advertising concepts for a product.....but also products too.....

whatever you feel would be appropriate would be a good entry! open to interpretation...if that helps you at all...
