This manufacturer later became Miles Laboratories and made One-a-Day vitamins and others. I don't recall offhand whether they did Alka-Seltzer as well. I have (or had!) a pamphlet of radio show descriptions that was well larded with their ads. I'm wondering if the similar pamphlet of funny jokes to tell was one of theirs as well. I know I still have that, at least.
No, he looks like "Jester" from the Puppet Master series of horror cinematic triumphs unaccountably ignored by the academy awards. That's the puppet whose face was divided into three sections, and his expression would change by the sections rotating.
