Can't get your family to eat canned hash? Simply bake it in an orange rind and skewer it with a pickle and a cherry. I usually add some chocolate sauce and sprinkles, but that's my own special touch.

Yecch...but that Mary Kitchen font looks so VERY familiar....I'm sure it's used by some other very common product, I just can't put my finger on it.

They serve that here in NYC dinners with breakfast. It's not bad actually.

That could be a cherry tomato skewered on there. WTF do you do with the orange pulp that you scoop out?

I'm also on the "cherry tomato" side. It definitely makes much more sense.

I have no problem with hash, or canned hash. When I lived in an apartment, it was a great way to keep the neighbor men away (when they thought neighbor ladies lived to cook for them).

But why present it using compost? Orange rinds are compost, right? All the juice, etc are gone so.....

Williamsburg orange cake! Orange cranberry scones! Orange rinds rock. :D

...but yeah, the hash thing is disgusting.

I limit to maybe 1-2 times a year, but I have to admit that I like roast beef hash.

Dunno why they don't just cook it on the stovetop and then put it in the orange rinds, rather than bake the whole thing.

Cooked till crispy in a frying pan, this is good noms. Baked in an orange rind? Too much like work.

That recipe makes hash seem more unappetizing than it already is. hehe

I love hash, sadly enough. And, worse, spam.
Just had to get that off my chest. I feel cleansed.

NGL, I LOVE hash, and it has to be that brand. No other hash will do. Fry it up, scramble some eggs, and I'm in hash heaven.

Sadly, it's not kosher, so now it's just a wistful childhood memory.
