Le sigh. Jake Ryan is so dreamy. I just got home an hour ago from seeing this on the big screen. No lie; AMC theaters is showing this two nights in a row (tonight and tomorrow the 14th) as a special screening. I had a great time seeing this in the theater again after so many years.

Aww! I'm in high school again! And it's acceptable to call people "retarded" and make fun of Asians. Good times, good times.

I never liked Jake either, but I figured if Sam liked him, who was I to judge? Come to think of it, I never liked any of the guys Molly Ringwald's Brat Pack characters hooked up with. Blaine was pretty much an ass, too, and don't get me started with Bender. I know the idea was to hook up with a bad boy to tick off her parents, but, come on, think about yourself a little bit.

Wow. When did I turn into a gumpy old coot? Well, you'll have to excuse me. There's some damn kids on my lawn and I need to go run them off. And a drunk Asian guy in my tree. WTF?
