Well let's say he was 20 at the time, that would make him 75-ish ... but I believe it is an ad agency custom to put their designers on an icefloe when they hit 30 and push them out to sea.
I had *never* seen this stuff in my life until after we'd moved from small-town Minnesota to Seattle when I was 10. Other kids would bring it for school parties, and I remember thinking the teacher was so clever for having one of those punch-type bottle opener thingies in her desk drawer. I always thought it tasted weird, though.
It's emblematic of my childhood that I could certainly distinguish Hi-C from Hawaiian Punch from Juicy Juice, even today, blindfolded. It came in a big can just like this, and it must have given my mother heart failure to see her children's small hands attempt to grasp and pour from it.
Hi-C in a can? I missed out on that! By the time I came around, the only juice I saw in cans was Juicy Juice. However, I did love my Ecto Cooler Hi-C, complete with Slimer (from Ghostbusters) on the label!
