HA! My friend Monica and I were walking in downtown Seattle once, and there were two VERY cute boys walking right in front of us. I purposefully commented loudly enough for them to hear, "MMmm, one of those fellas smells REALLY GOOD!" They started laughing, stopped, turned around, and both of them let me give them the close-up sniff test, to see which one smelled good to me. I forget what kind of cologne he was wearing, but it was awesome. Monica was DYING laughing, and so were they. And yes, I was just a teeny, tiny bit drunk, but hey, I think it's important to tell boys they smell good when they do! Positive reinforcement and all that!

I've told women that their perfume smells really lovely before. One commented slightly perturbedly that she wasn't wearing perfume. I just smiled and told her "Well, I guess it's just you, then."

She looked completely gobsmacked. Like she's never had a random compliment before in her life and had no idea how to respond.

Ha! That reminds me! Back when I was a travel agent, I told one of my clients, a big, badass biker dude, that he smelled really good, and asked him what cologne he was wearing. He said he wasn't wearing any, and it must just be his deodorant. We laughed at that a bit. I was surprised, and asked him what kind it was, because it really did smell great. He said he had no idea, 'cause he'd slept on his buddy's couch the night before and then had showered and used his buddy's deodorant that morning before going to work. *snicker* You kind of had to be there, but it was really cute how he seemed a little abashed to admit he'd used his buddy's toiletries. All appearances aside, he really was a total sweetheart. For a dude named Mongo, anyway. :D

This gets my vote. The sheer stupidity of the ad, plus the stars that embarrassed themselves making it and the idea that people would inhale clouds of drugs and fragrance from a bar of soap makes it perfect.

The Joe Greene had way too much class.
