At least, I think this is from the '80s. According to Wikipedia, Leo was born in 1974, and he looks around 12-13 here, which would make it around 1986-87 I think.

(FTR, Fred Meyer is a chain of stores in the Pacific Northwest and possibly other areas. My mom's been going to the same Freddy's probably since before this commercial first aired. :\ )

I'm voting yes for the 80s awesomeness of the sweater.

I thought Fred Meyer was a chain of grocery stores. I didn't know they sold clothes, too. I have spent all of about 5 days in the Pacific Northwest.

Yeah, they're pretty much an "everything" store--one part sells food/groceries, the other part sells clothes/shoes/other stuff that I'm not too sure of because I haven't been in the clothing section of a Fred Meyer since about 1992. :/ There are also some that have a hardware/gardening section. (Although, in the case of the one my mom goes to, that section was split off and rebuilt across the street as its own store.)

I went to a great big Fred Meyer's up in Fairbanks, Alaska when I visited my friends who lived there. That sweater would not be out of place in interior Alaska. ;-)

Haha, I'm a native Northwestern girl and Freddy's definitley has a place in my heart. I was just in one yesterday. The clothes haven't changed much. They're so assy, hahaha!
