co-mod post--upcoming contest reminder!!!

our february contest will start TUESDAY February 1st!

our theme is CELEBS in ads! pre-celeb counts too....anything 1990 and before!!

this should be fun, as always! :)

the rules (i don't like rules anymore than the next person...but alas we must have some as guidelines....):

please put 'contest entry' or something like that in the subject, feb contest, celeb contest or just plain ole CONTEST will suffice...basically the word CONTEST has to be in the subject....

to get the ad to the finals, please vote YES in the comments, only YES will count as a vote...if you comment you like the ad, nope, that's not a vote, only a clear distinct YES will count as a vote in the comments....

yes, you may vote on every single ad if you wish and you may vote for your own ad too....

entries will be accepted through monday february 7th and i will post the finalists tuesday the 8th, barring you know any major situations....

does the Jack Lord icon mean i'm serious? i wonder if he did any ads? hmmmm.....you'd think i'd know that....i just picked that icon because well it says 'STARRING Jack Lord' and it's pre-1990 and he was a celeb! and i thought that would be appropriate! :D and i should get off my TPB icon kick i suppose....back to the Lord!

i think i have about 6 or so Jack Lord icons uploaded to LJ....maybe 8.....let me count here....well i could be wrong but i counted 7....i have a couple dozen jack lord icons available to me though! someone made me a bunch! :D

Would a Wiki page work too? Some of these obscure people don't have an IMDB page. I have some good ads with cassette tapes that I know this comm will like, so that's why I asked....

if they don't have an imdb.com page, that's really obscure.....how about you just post the ads not as contest entries if they don't have imdb.com pages? wiki pages are too fraught with inaccuracies and falsities.....
