REMINDERS

NEXT MONTH---CELEBS in ads!! pre-celebrity counts too...all ads 1990 and before....that contest will start Tuesday Feb. 1.....i will be posting a couple more reminders before that starts....

and on Feb. 14, we'll have a movie trailer day for romance movies....comedy romance, teen romance, dramatic romance....romance will be the overall theme....yes, if there is a horror themed romance you can do that....and i'll be posting a couple more reminders before this day too....

Congrats - that was a good find! Celebrities in ads is a cool contest - whoever thought that up was brilliant. I know we've already seen Gene Tierney. Oh, I've gotta check my two old Good Housekeeping mags - I think I spotted an old timey star in an ad.

i think celebs in ads will be a fun one! i'll have to start searching too....

i can't recall the gene tierney ad you're referring too, but you know you can repost ads that have been previously posted for contests....and i know there was that yvonne de carlo ad from a bit ago--that had the dressing table and dresser set we coveted....

Damn! I need a scanner! I've got some great Rita Hayworth ads taken directly from magazines, and others, too. My scanner died about six months ago.

well we had one poster who would take photos of their ads (and you honestly couldn't TELL they were photos of ads!!)...they cropped them....but you might want to try that?? just an idea....or you can pick up scanners for around $20-30 on ebay....i got mine for $20 on ebay....
