OMG! THEY ARE SOOOOOOO FREAKY! They slightly change color a little bit and display an image or pattern, kind of.

"Just Say No" must have really been working if this is what passed for "freakie"!

Oh, wow, I had forgotten all about these. I believe they appeared on my Christmas list one year, I didn't get them, and I somehow got over it and stopped wanting them.

I thought of this, too! I LOVED Freakies! Actually, I just liked the little Freakie figurines and I had quite the collection at one point. I don't remember if I actually liked the cereal, but that's beside the point, isn't it? :D
