it's gotta say 'yes' to count as a vote.....if i allow your 'vote' to count as a 'yes', and believe me, i am willing to do that for you since we're net twins and all, but then others might feel compelled to just start putting 'vote' though, ya know?

i totally want mints right now myself!!! all i got in the house is some peppermint stick chocolate soy milk....it's good, but uh, not the same!!!

even if i had cable, which i haven't had in like 10+ years, i wouldn't watch the atrocity that is the new hawaii 5-0.....you don't mess with gold....the original was witty, intelligent, non-sexualized, not flashy, it was well thought out, well acted, etc....and it had THE LORD, Jack Lord....it's just sacrileges to mess with that....in my opinion....

a friend's husband watched about 10 minutes of it and said it was sexualized, explosion based, the typical tv fare nowadays....sickening....what makes it worse for me is if i mention hawaii 5-0 as one of my favorite shows now people think it's the NEW one....so i have to say the ORIGINAL 5-0....sigh....

why can't hollywood have any originality and think up new tv show ideas? or new movie ideas???

if the world doesn't end dec. 12, 2012, i plan on spending NYE 2012 in hawaii visiting ORIGINAL hawaii 5-0 sites AND visiting the jack lord statue! :) praising the lord welcoming in 2013!! that's the plan anyway....

Good to know I haven't missed anything. This is why I watch little broadcast material and mostly rely on my DVD collection.

of course i'll get my pix taken with it and it'll be an icon! The Lord and I! :) a friend on facebook admires the fact that i have had the same crush since 1973! she says it shows i'm rather loyal! (or just nuts!)....

yeah....i don't miss cable at all....i have netflix and i can watch some recent shows on their websites the day or so after their initial airing like southpark, family guy, ancient aliens...and with firefox's ad blocker i get no commercials! :) love no commercials!!!!

Cool - thanks! I am a little surprised it isn't full sized. They've even got his little tuft of hair there in the front - that's his trademark. That'll be such a cute icon!

I haven't had cable for 10 years. I mostly just miss the cooking and decorating shows. I'm wondering if I'll get some free digital channels when Canadian channels all finally switch over in 2011. Apparently, if you live in a major city and you have a newer teevee, you should get a few extra stations. I wouldn't say no to PBS again.

The only show I watch is The Office but even that has gone down in quality in the last season or two...

i wouldn't watch the americanized office....i don't know why they americanize british shows....have you watched the original office? i loved that....it was acted so well and when she comes back to the christmas party, that was just the perfect ending....

I was prepared to hate the American Office because I liked the British one so much but it is different enough to enjoy it on its own merits - that was wise of the producers, not to make a carbon copy.

In fact, I believe there is a German version of the Office and if I'm not mistaken, a French one - each one with different dynamics that reflect the cultures.

i think there's even more version of the office! gervais has said it's his retirement fund, all the different versions! :)

i am not overtly fond of recent american sitcoms....cartoon ones yes....but with actors? no....cannot think of any recent american sitcom with actors that was funny....well the short lived one on comedy central about president bush was funny, done by the south park guys....other than that? cannot recall any at all in the past 10-20+ years!!!

i'll stick with british and canadian comedies and my dvds of older american comedies! :) the good old days!!!

Aww! This is how polar bears frolicked before global warming. To me, watching the natural deposits of gigantic mints in the Arctic being destroyed was the most disturbing part of "An Inconvenient Truth."
