well it LOOKS like it, but it's polyester....i want the wool ones....the heavy ones....i know you can find them, but they are just incredibly expensive....like $150+ for a queen sized....
thanks for the link though! :)
it's just sort of sad that in the past 10+ years the quality of blankets has gone downhill....even electric blankets...you use to get good thick blankets when you got an electric blanket, now you basically get a sheet with electrical wires in it....i got a sunbeam electric blanket last year and that's what it basically was a sheet with wires...took it back the next day.....
Technological advance: Electric heated mattress pad. That's what I have (I have a medical condition which makes me feel really cold all the time) and it's far better than an electric blanket - pile as many good blankets, duvets, etc. as you like over yourself, the heat comes from underneath you and is conserved under your covers. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
The Hudson Bay Company still sells its classic blankies - these things are HOT - in the sense that they make you really hot at night. Very spendy, though. http://www.hbc.com/hbcheritage/history/blanket/
If you ever see a good deal on ebay, you should nab it.
looks like it to me....i mean, what's that ball on the top of her foot there? the foot hanging over the bed....and then on the foot on the bed...it looks like a pom pom there too....doesn't look like a natural part of the slipper at all, ya know?
This ad is sooooo retro in its depiction of women as having so real life outside of getting married - it takes TIME to plan a trousseau - and if you don't need a job after marriage, you can just quit right now, lie on the bed and make shopping lists.
"Weddings and rice and everything nice" - oh, and apparently most women have the I.Q. of a five year old. Ahhh, the past...
Well, they're not necessarily connected to getting married, but I know I love daydreaming about buying stuff for my very own house (one day). ._. I think it's just a fun thing to do to plan for that kind of thing.
My Mother is searching for some. We had two, Yellow and Tan for decades at our home. They came from my grandparents. We had a green one we used at the Beach. Go figure?
