My Grandmother used 3-in-One oil in her sewing machine!

I think we had a little can of that too, mostly for the sewing machine but I remember it getting used a lot for other random little things too. And now I can't remember what any of them were, or how we live without it now. The squeaky hinges and stuff we squirt with WD40 now, but seems like there were other things than that then...

Oh and it did get used for the guns, too. I grew up (on a farm) with a rifle and shotgun behind the back door, and a rifle behind the front one. They were always there leaning in the corner and we knew not to ever touch them and never did.

I don't know how the 3 in 1 oil company ever stayed in business - one can can last for up to 25 years or more!

maybe the Arabs figured out the success of its longevity and are having the last laugh on us after all....;)

I just used 3-In-One oil last week. Not sure how long the can I used has been around, but it worked like a charm on a squeaky bathroom door hinge.

Good work, gran'pa. Now go after those varmints (animals, that is, not humans) -- we're hankerin' for some venison burgers tonight!
