I was immediately reminded of 80s airbrush faux-lebian faux-bondage softcore that used to be sold as posters in a store called "Athena" during the 80s ... Syd Brak was the artist.

A lot of his work harkens back to the era of this ad, so I guess this a case of me seeing the ad through the lens of later reinterpretations.

This whole series of ads had some serious issues with proportions ... look at the size of the hand in relation to the slats for instance, different proportions in each vignette; and then check out the next one with Sideways Woman. I suspect today it would get stopped for misrepresenting the size of the product.

The slats were actually far larger, then, than the 'mini-blinds' we generally see today. You probably already know that, but it bears mentioning.
