As night follows day, as the swallows return to Capistrano, Women Must Sparkle. Take note, ladies. If you aren't blinding men with your livery, you may as well be wearing a nun's habit.
I'm pretty sure the glamorous celebrities can not only afford real $1,000 diamonds, but would insist upon them. Nice ring, though, even if it confirms my suspicions that I'll never get over my thing for costume jewelry.
Actually, Zircon is a legit stone/mineral. I don't know much about it, myself, but because of the name a lot of people think it's not real since it sounds like "Cubic Zirconia."
The CZ is resistant to acid, which is mentioned in the ad. Its one of several properties that (I am guessing) it shares with real diamonds. I know I have heard of the 'cut glass' test.
I think the op was trying to make a joke from that.
I especially like the subtle name "Kimberly Gem Co." It's a nice nod to the Kimberley diamond mines (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberley,_Northern_Cape) in South Africa. It's just like a diamond, really!
