You just know it arrived regular mail, with maybe a coupla airholes punched into the box. If it was lucky.

I imagine more than one excited child got quite the unpleasant surprise as he tore open the box containing his new pet.

my father actually purchased several of these darling pet monkeys in his day, from comic book ads. there's pictures of him as a kid with five monkeys piled on his shoulders. it's pretty amazing :p

yup, they just came in a box with airholes. it's a miracle he got all of them alive! he still has the little booklet they would come with, and theres a paragraph in it about what to do if the monkey arrives dead (they'll replace it for free, so no worries, kids!)
