The fashion is fairly typical for the era - the fact the ad is illustrated with a drawing, not a photograph, isn't.

*traumatised* Vintage, HOW? Oh... right. It was 30 years ago. ARGH.

A few years later drawings became really trendy for ads. And the style reminds me a little of the fashion drawings they had in Jackie magazine in the 70s/early 80s.

The sad part of that 30 year old fashion is that I would wear it today. The drawing makes it transcend it's era. If I had seen it in a live model, it may not have looked as wearable to me.

The art is gorgeous, even if it does look like she's wearing a pair of pyjamas. I love that they've even given directions as to what floor the clothes are on.

Actually if I remember correctly Myer (and Grace Bros) used to love ads with drawings rather than photos.

What amazes me is how stylish and classy that fashion is. I remember the fashions back then as well. They were uuuuggglllyy.
